His father was Henry Edward Pittman. Henry married Sarah?. Their children were: Estelle, Ruth and Roderick. Henry's 2nd wife was Claudia Souiter? (full blooded Cherokee). Their children were: Victoria, James H., Stephen Edward, and Jessie(girl). The story I was told is that Claudia left Henry, took the kids and dropped all the kids at an Orphanage. My Grandfather Stephen Edward Pittman came to Webster Parish, LA in the early 1930's. The story I was told about him was that he killed someone and had to leave MS. They never talked about what happened and they never talked about his family he left behind in MS. If anyone can help, PLEASE email me at wilawalker@aol.com.
