Bennie, I am so sorry this happened to you, and by extension, to all of us with roots in Clarke County. When I first began researching my family, yours was the site that inspired me and taught me what kinds of records are out there to purchase or pursue through the local library. It was a great place to start out: through your site, I have met many very nice people who have helped me fill in some of my many blanks. I live in California, and the chances of my being able to actually do on-site research in Quitman are right next to zero. I have always felt that your site was the mark to which others might aspire. It never occurred to me that some folks might actually claim your hard work as their own. Thank you for continuing to offer look-ups. However, I fear this might have a very negative impact on your time limitations. I hope that you find some way to protect your work, yet continue to share it with others like me who just needed that little bit of online serendipity to get started on a family quest.
