Vivian, See, this is why I forwarded the info to everyone.....you're absolutely right....you did send me that file! I had forgotten about it! (I told you I was getting info overload!!) It sure does say that Dorinda Grayson's parents were Lee Grayson (son of Catherine and Rube or Squire!) I need to ask the list.....on the statement from the Mississippi Acts, "To authorize Catherine GRAYSON, widow and administratrix of the estate of Reuben GRAYSON, late of Wayne County, to sell a certificate for a tract of land, being the southwest quarter of S36-T7-Rl7W, of the district of Pearl River. Said widow cannot make payment of the balance due for land without serious inconvenience to her or her orphan children. 5th sess., Nov. 1821, p. 9. " Can anyone tell me where this piece of land was located? Was it in Wayne County, and if so, who lived around that piece of land? I'll keep you posted Vivian,.....and don't worry, we're getting there! I'm sure of it! Thanks again! Let me know if you think of anything else!! All I can say is that I received handwritten pages from a bible, which I sent you copies of, belonging to the granddaughter of Lee GRAYSON of Jasper Co., MS which stated that Lee GRAYSON was the son of Reuben and Catherine ?? GRAYSON. As you know, I can't do hands on research anymore. I am VERY willing to help pay for your expenses in do the research. Please do not hesitate to ask me for help! I am VERY interested in finding out and getting documentation of who the parents were and going back other generations. Vivian >>
