Hi: I am Cynthia (Atkinson) Fowler. My great grand-father (X3), Hugh Adkinson (that is the spelling I have found on censuses) was an early settler of Clarke Co., MS. (1820's). His son, William A. Atkinson, was born and raised in Clarke County, MS, and he was a Civil War veteran. He enlisted in Meridian, MS, with the 6th Mississippi Calvary (I believe!)
