Kathy, in searching for Civil War information and my wife's line of Williams, not your line. I ran across the following article from the Clarke Co. Tribune published about 1887. Ira Williams was in the 13th Miss Inf. Reg. In a letter to his wife Lizzie, he wrote of how things were in Vicksburg, MS. Later Ira was wounded in a Vicksburg battle . He was sent to Port Gipson, MS. were he died and is buried. The Trapp Williams family has this letter. I have not run across another Ira during this time period. Billy
