    1. Dallas Grayson
    2. Okay, maybe not all of you will be be interested in this subject, but if you are, perhaps you can help. I have been communicating with Cil Dearman of Quitman, MS, who's grandfather's sister married Dallas Grayson. This would be Mary Hayes. D.G.GRAYSON (Dallas Grayson) married Mary E. Hayes on 28 Sept 1873 (per IGI and I believe Bennie White's page)! Dallas Grayson was the son of Cameron Grayson. Dallas and Mary had at least one daughter, Mary, born 1876, and was listed on the 1880 Clarke Co. Census with her grandparents, Israel and Louisa Hays. It's not known exactly when Mary Grayson was born, but she is listed as 4 years old. One would believe that it's quite possible that Mary Hayes Grayson died giving birth to Mary, as Dallas married 19 Dec 1876 to M.A. Stapleton. Then by 17 Oct 1888 (per MS marriage records, but according to pension records there is a discrepancy on this date) he is married to Lethia A. Blackman. Lethia would be his widow, as is indicated in Pension records: (per Bennie White's page) GRAYSON, D. G., age 57; Turner's Battery; 22 Aug 1901 GRAYSON, D. G., age 74; Turner's Battery Artillery; 12 Aug 1915 GRAYSON, D. G., age 75; Turner's Battery Artillery; 26 Feb 1916 GRAYSON, Lethia A., age 56; husband - Dallas GRAYSON, m. 1881, d. Clarke Co. Miss. Oct 1916; Turner's Battery, Light Artillery; 3 Sep 1917 Does anyone on this list know more about what happened to the child Mary Grayson? Thanks, Marion in TX
