Francis Williams (b 1788 NC) married Margaret Ivester in GA in 1816. He later lived in Clarke Co with 4 children,Ira, Mary,Francis R and George, all born bet 1825 and 1832 in AL. Does anyone know anything about this family,particuliary where and when Margaret died. It may have been Clarke Co. Can anyone check and see if a Margaret Williams is buried in Clarke Co.bet. 1816 and 1850 Any info on this family living there? Ira may have went to TX. Don't have any info on other children except Francis R who went to Mobile Co AL. Was said he had a fight with a man from the community and "bit his ear off" which is why he left Clarke Co. He married Sarah Pierce and lived at Tanner-Williams, Mobile Co, AL. Kathy in SC
There are Ivesters in Jack,TX., and this is what I found on the others .Ira Williams m/ Emma Davis, Nov. 9, 1893, Clarke County,MS.,There is another marriage listed for an Ira, who m/Aisley Collins, Dec. 24,1889, Jefferson,MS. There are five Mary Williams, who married a Dunham, Moody, Harris, Britton and Smith. There is a George Williams, m/ Mary Harger, Dec. 15, 1896, Clarke County.
