I've gotten a lot of help from Clarke Co. people who read my queries on the old site. My father was born in Clarke Co. and my paternal grandmother's line still existsi n Clarke Co. Guess, I am researching Simmons. My great aunt, Mary Edna JONES married a Mr. Simmons and moved to TX where she owned a hotel or inn of some sort. She was from the DeSoto, Shubuta area.
