Thank you Billy. Virginia just suggested that she might be. Honey
Haven't been able to find her in any of the cemeteries I have checked. She is not buried at Mt. Hebron. She may be buried at Oddfellows Cemetery in Quitman. We have not been able to get up there. Apparently Oddfellows is not online yet. Thanks for all your help. Honey
Honey, On Bennie's confederate penisons, it shows Missouri Gavin , widow, married in Waynesboro, MS. 1896. Billy
No I don't , I was in Wayne Co last week and of course look for my husbands family any where I go , and found that. Do you know where she is buried? Maybe she was a widow. Hi Virginia, Thanks for the information. It does help a great deal. Although, I have Missouri as Blivin. Do you know where that name came from? Honey
We are looking for David Calloway Gavin who was a Confederate Veteran. He died in 1923 so he would not be in the book to which you referred. I really appreciate your information, though. We are searching for Gavin, Garner, and Nichols. We know David was buried in the Oddfellows Cemetery. Thanks for all your help. Honey

There is a book of cemeteries listings that has a particial list of people buried before 1915 ( I may be wrong on the dates) in Clarke County. It is located in the library in Quitman, Waynesboro, Meridian and also at the archives in Jackson.
At this time, I do not know of any list of the Odd Fellows Cem. in Quitman. It is a big cemetery and will probably take someone a few days to list it. I will going back up there in a few weeks, let me know who you are looking for and I will see if I can help. Billy

Does anyone know if there is a documentation anywhere of those people who were buried in the old Oddfellows Cemetery in Quitman? I have relatives buried there and have not been able to find this cemetery listed on any website. Thanks for your help. Honey
I concur as well, and suspected so when I made the post. I decided to spell it in my query as it was on your list. My real dilema derives from the fact that I find no Joseph Grayson in any of the Census'. So, who is he? Is he Thomas J. Grayson, son of Cameron? And if not, then who? He could be a real clue, if anyone has the answer. Thanks for everyone's help! In a message dated 10/2/00 1:40:43 PM Central Daylight Time, bennie@netpathway.com writes: << I concur with Mary. Marion, if it helps any, I transcribed a Civil War diary, and it was very difficult to distinquish between the A's and E"s. And a double S looks like SP. I would think it is an E in Joseph.---Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: <MGRAYSON98@aol.com> To: <MSCLARKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2000 8:30 PM Subject: Re: JOSAPH GRAYSON?
