Bennie, We are going to the Smokies for a few days. Figure out how you want to move our Civil War infomation. I will have to learn how to add on the new site. Billy
I am new to the list and am looking for any info on the following families of Clarke County. They were there 1840-1860ish. James Lilly, John Major Williams, John Washington Mathis/Mathews. They lived in and around Energy. Also, I am looking to find out about New Bethel Church. There are some Williams, Lilleys, and Irbys that are there. I would apprecate any help on these families. Christy
Can't imagine why some of you are having problem accessing the Clarke page. Please keep trying--must be an ISP problem here or there. Comes in Ok for me when I click on the URL in the message. Bennie

You might try going to <http://www.sunherald.com> then access the archive. If you can give them the exact date it was published they will make a copy. I don't remember if there is a charge -- probably so. Lee Wood wleewood@aol.com
