I know that my great grandparents were George W. Smith and Mollie. I just recently corresponded with someone that has a Carroll Co. book on marriages. She found an entry for G. W. Smith and Mallie Compton married December 15, 1892 in Carroll County. There is a strong possibility that this could be them. I know they lived most, if not all, of their married life in Holcomb, Grenada Co., MS. Their children: Gary born before 1894 died as a child Leilar born 6/12/1894 in MS died 2/24/1975 married Wm. Whitfield Corder 10/2/1920 in Grenada County Georgia Mae born 9/1/1900 died abt 9/1/1921 in Holcomb, Grenada Co. married Wm. Edward Martin 8/13/1920 in Grenada County Ciscero born abt 1902 in MS. No death info. Possibly married Marie Spears Belton M. born 5/7/1904 in MS died 11/2/1979 buried in Sparta Cemetery, Grenada, Co married 1 Emma Corder 5/12/1923 in Grenada, Co. married 2 Nellie Davis Magilene born abt. 1906 in MS Edgar Lewis born abt 1910 in MS married Hazel Agnes Poe 1/25/1934 daughter of Wm. F. & Edna Poe This is the extent of my info on my Smiths. I would appreciate any and all help. I do have more on the Corder's and Martin's and will be glad to share with anyone that is connected.
