There were several sons, William Robert, Byron, Samuel, Vaiden and we believe at least two more. William, Vaiden served in Co. K 11th Mississippi, Samuel, Byron in Co C. 11th Mississippi, during the Civil War. Byron and William moved to Texas, other members of the family remained in Carroll County.
