MS. I am searching for the parents and/or siblings for my g-grandfather, Rev./Dr. Jesse Lee (Leonidas?) WOOD who was reportedly b. 1839 in Duck Hill, Carroll (now Montgomery) Co., MS?. He first shows up on the 1860 Census in Dyer Co., TN at age 21 years m. to Mary WOOD age 20 years. We have no idea how/when Jesse got to TN nor any info. about his family or him until he enlisted in Company I of the 7th Tennessee Cavalry Reg., U. S. Army at Huntingdon, Carroll Co., TN on Dec 27, 1863. Although my g-grandfather Jesse Lee WOOD, fought for the Union with the 7th Tennessee Cavalry Reg., U. S. Army, he had three brothers (names unknown) who fought for the CSA but since I don't have any names, CSA units or locations there isn't enough to go on with a name like WOOD. Since Jesse was born in MS, the brothers could have enlisted in the CSA in MS. I would love to share information with anyone who has a connection. Blair 1877,she died then he married Ruth Hughes 1885,would appreciate anything on these two women,.Jane Blair Britz
