    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Phalon, Phalen, Phallon, Daves, Tate Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yIB.2ACE/993.2 Message Board Post: Your names sounded familiar so I looked through my information and I do have them in my family tree. I also found another Phalon person in my information. Here is what I have: Fannie Elizabeth Phalon, born 1881, died 1967, married Albert M. Meriwether, son of Thomas Nicholas Meriwether and Mary Emily George. Fannie was the daughter of Patrick Phalon, born Ireland, and Alice Susannah Ketchey, born North Carolina. Fannie Elizabeth and Albert are both buried in Shute Cemetery in Carroll County, Mississippi. All of this information was obtained the Carroll County History Book in a family history written by Betty Meriwether. There could possibly be a connection between Susie Phallon (born 1880) and Fannie Elizabeth (born 1881). Their ages are close together. If they are sisters, Susie could be named after the mother, Alice Susannah. Have you tried to order a copy of Susie's death certificate from the State of MS? It might tell on there who her parents were. Albert and Fannie Elizabeth's daughter, Ollie Mae Meriwether, married my great-uncle, Robert Lee Tate. Robert Lee Tate's mother, Sarah Ida DAVES Tate, was a daughter of Hugh Dawson Daves (my gg-grandfather) by his second marriage. Offie Banister Daves was grandson of Hugh Dawson Daves through his first marriage. I tried to see if I could find any further information on this Phalon family on the internet, but could not. This book says that Betty Meriwether lives in Carroll County. Her husband's name is William Albert Meriwether. You might try to contact her to see if she any further information on this family. Good Luck. Let me know if I can be of further help. Amanda
