Location : Southern Division Year : 1850 Page # : 238 Minnie Laws named her first child Falistas, others are: Jennie, Lula, Edna, Jessie Minnie, Mary Ellen, Lelsie King, Annie Laws, & Benjamin David Sterling Matthew. Yep that's one kids name! Benjamin Taylor Laws had: Myrtie Ashbury, Ann Sophrenia, Gus Bryant, Benjamin Early, Percy Bankston, Marie, Allie Baxter, Stella & Della Blanche. My Ida had: Hugh G., Annie Mary, George Benjamin, Henrietta, James L., Milton S., John Fletcher, Fannie, Irby, Edgar & Ida. I've seen the John Fletcher name used a lot in Carroll Co.,MS, I think he was a famous Baptist preacher of the time. Seems I remember seeing that somewhere? In the 1850 Lowdnes Co.,MS census is a Lott W. Laws & kids, eldest son Gustavious Laws. I've always wondered abt that b/c Minnie was given the middle name of Gustavious. In the 1860 census he's not there & can't find him anywhere. this family is one big mystery!!! Cindy
