I have a George Vance that was living in Tippah County, MS and then he died before the 1860 census was taken and his wife Temperance Howell moved to Carroll or Montgomery Counties, MS. Most of the children that George and Temperance had are Thomas, James, Joseph Wney, Elizabeth, William M., Hugh (Married to Ida Rodgers), and Mary Vance. I am descended through Joseph Wney.
