I need good directions to the "Nebo Cemetery." The Carroll County Cemetery Book states, "Go east from Carrollton on Hwy 82 about 5.5 miles to McCarley Junction. Turn south on gravel road and go approximately 1.5 miles to a big oak tree on the right. Go on foot on a trail approximately 150 yds. Cemetery is on the left in woods. It is very overgrown and unfenced." Does the gravel road now have a name now? I am sure that the "big oak tree" would be hard to find now because the cemetry list was copied 1976. I would appreciate more up-to -date, specific directions. I am searching for two graves that are listed in the Nebo Cemetery, Carroll Co Cemetery Book: Pleasant Merrill/October 11, 1802/January 24, 1896 Elizabeth P/wife of Pleasant Merrill/D. June 1, 1890/age 78 yr 9 mo 1day. If this is private property? Do I need to get permission from anyone and whom would that be? Is it now safe to go to the cemetery?? Is it totally overgrown or is someone now maintining it. I appreciate any assistance.
