It gives me some dates that I didn't know before. this will help when trying to find my great grandfather's marriage to Williw George. Fannie was married to Joe (possibly Joseph George. they lived in Carlise, Mississippi for a time. Joe was said to be a red-headed Scotsman. Fannie was Ethiopian from what my grandfather told me. Henry Clay and Eliza Drake are right on. I also know of some Rankins in the family. This is not a direct link, however , I am pretty sure that we are related. Thanks again. Page 129 - Clay, Augustus married Harris, Jane on Sept. 20, 1873 Page 395 - Clay, Henry married Drake, Eliza on July 2, 1879 Page 438 - Clay, Isaac married Smith, Mattie on Aug. 21, 1884 Page 83 - Coffey, William married Clay, Jane on Dec. 1, 1881 Page 207 - Clay, George married Parmer, Louisa on Oct. 9, 1887 Page 709 - George, James Z. married Young, Elizabeth B. on May 30, 1847 (don't know if this one is yours but I thought I would give it to you just in case) Page 182 - George, Joe married Rankin, Pearly on Dec. 21, 1898 Page 414 - Swaim, R.S. (not good) - George, Willie on Mar 17, 1900 (I would assume this marriage did not take place since it states (not good) I found this in Carroll County Cemetery Book EVERGREEN CEMETERY Lot #21-25 George-Hemingway Fannie George George/Mar, 26, 1848/Apr. 26, 1904 (slab over grave) Just so that you know, I did not type here name wrong, this is the way it appears in the Cemetery book. She was born in 1823 in AL and died 11-17-1894 in Carroll City,MS. What I know of their children is that they had a son named Samuel Ephrim who married Mary Elizabeth Henderson. She was born 11-1-1864 in AR. Died in 1928 in Garden Point, AR. They had 5 children. Clay Edward, Horace Edgar or Edwin, Marshall Edds, Albert and Ralph. Other than dates I really don't have anything else on his parents except that there is a John Higdon. I do have Samuel Ephrim's son Horace (who's middle name I have as Edgar) birth and death information. I also have that Horace was married to Jessie Carrie Snell. Born either 2-4 or 11-4-1892 in Blackhawk, MS and died 9-27-1951 in Lilbourn,MO. She was burried at Mounds Cem. Hope this is information you were looking for. I have also found that Virginia is probably incorrect and that Corinth would be a more likely site for W B's death. I had hoped to find him buried in the Confederate cemetery there but was unable to do so in the online posting. I have also been unable to find the burial place of his first wife, my gg grandmother Mary Cooper. I believe your John Wesley Teasley was married to her sister. Mary and Margaret's parents raised my g grandfather Levi Middleton Teasley in Rankin Co after WB died.
