If possible could someone on the list help me with a cemetery look up for my family? The Carroll County website seems to be down at this time. I have information on the Baker-Heslep families of Carroll Co, MS. Does anyone know people that descend from this family? John Crocket Baker and his wife Octavia Jane Heslep are buried in Carroll Co, MS. She is still living on the 1900 Carroll Co, MS Census. John Crocket Baker born 26 April 1838 died 9 May 1885 Carroll Co, MS married 26 Jan 1870 Carroll Co, MS to Octavia Jane Heslep born Oct 1847 in MS died ? issue: 1. Mary Myrtle born 26 Jan 1871 died 18 Jun 1871 Carroll Co, GA 2. George Greer born Nov 1872 died 6 Dec 1957 married Sallie Lowery. They had four dau Mildred,Mary,Melane and Latha Baker. 3. My great Uncle, Roy Cain, was actually born Benjamin Franklin Bronte (to Bronte parents) in or around Paris, Arkansas, but his mother died after childbirth and he was raised by her Cain relatives in Carroll County.
