Another interesting connection: There was a Henderson family who lived in our neighborhood (Sunflower County) for fifty or more years, and the daughter and I tried to "claim kinship" through the Hendersons, to no avail. Then I learned that they come from the Rachel Brister and Wiley Green line, and I come from the Serena Guess and Samuel Brister line, making us cousins, as we suspected. Though my mother was very fond of Mrs. Henderson, she never knew they were cousins! I was able to tell one of the Henderson sons, a retired dentist from W. Monroe, LA that we were cousins. He was surprised, and when I mentioned Samuel Brister, he knew. By the way, the retired dentist and now his son was/is my daughter's dentist in W. Monroe!
