    3. The recent discussion of Attala County books reminds me to point out that my own book, "Yesterday: The descendants of John Hutchison and Elizabeth Frazier of Attala County," and several other books dealing with the history and genealogy of Attala and Madison County are now available for sale at a new shop in Canton. The store, known as The Emporium, is owned by my son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Amy Hutchison. It contains items from about 15 or 20 different vendors--including a few from Attala County--who are selling antiques, art work, books, women's clothes, jewelry (antique as well as costume), tee-shirts, games, magic tricks, furniture, glassware, collectibles, dolls, and a hundred other things that I am forgetting. If your travels take you to Canton--perhaps for the semi-annual flea market--please stop in and say, "Hello." You'll find The Emporium in a 100 year old building on the east side of Canton's historic Court House Square. Edward Hutchison www.ERHutchison.com

    3. Hi Ed I'd just love to come to Canton to see and shop in The Emporium , however , it would be a long time as I live in Seattle . Is there a way to find out which books on Attala and Madison Co ( I have ancestors from both ) are being sold there. Perhaps I can mail order some of the books. If you can provide a contact person and phone number ( or website if there is one ) for the store, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Cousin Molly ( Can't remember exactly how we are relelated but I think we are :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "E. R. 3. Cousin Molly. You will find a link to my book, "Yesterday," at my website www.ERHutchison.com I have also posted several excerpts of the book on the Internet. These sites, too, are linked to the above URL. Jim Lacey wrote a very interesting book, "History Bits," that covers Madison County history. The Emporium carries it. Jim told me last week that there are now fewer than ten copies remaining of the thousand initially published. Anyone with an interest in Canton and vicinity will want this book. There are other books that relate to the history of the area but they are out-of-print and the shop has only one copy of each in stock. There are another 15-20 books that are of regional or statewide interest. They have local authors and/or local topics. Mrs. Porter's book about Sallis, Elma Heffner's book about the McLellan family, Mr. Johnson's book on the family of Samuel Isaiah White, and a collection of letters from the Neaves family, are excellent, but out-of-print, and I don't know where you would find a copy other than at the Kosciusko library. If you have other questions, please feel free to call me days at 601-906-8571.
