Sybil, I found your Bruces in the Attala County Cemetery Book. Charles Bruce, 1857-1948 and Bettie, 1863-1935. Other Bruces are nearby. They are buried in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. I have also looked in some other sources and finally found your Mask ancestors, I feel quite sure these are correct. This first item I found on the Find A Grave website. I could never find a William Mask of the right age, but I did find this George W. Mask and wife Sarah Ann Lockhart. It looks like the youngest child listed was your Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" who married Charles Bruce. There are no Masks in the Attala County Cemetery book. Most of those in Mississippi are buried in Tippah and Alcorn Counties. I looked at censuses from 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 for the Masks. These together list about 11 or 12 children.
