I was about to order a newer version of Family Tree Maker Software, Version 16 from http://www.ancestry.com. I was reading the System Requirements and didn't see anything about Microsoft Vista. Has anyone loaded FTM ver.16 on Vista? Does it seem to work OK? Thanks...Mical

Yes, be sure and get Family Tree Maker 2009 instead of FTM version 16. I installed 2009 on my Vista 64bit PC and it seems to my working just fine. I had FTM version 16 for a short while on my XP32bit machine and didn't like the program at all. It seemed to be dumbed down from an earlier version and was missing some of the old features. Hi Robert I have both on my computer, I have used 2006 with upgrade 16 for a while and really like the way its formatted,,, I am trying to get used to the changes with 2009, so far I do not like it.. I have a new computer with Vista basic and at first 2006 did not run, I had to go on line and download the required upgrade so it would work with vista, free..... just my thoughts but I prefer 2006 by far over 2009....
