    1. French Camp: A History of the Academy
    2. Everette Carr
    3. "French Camp: A History of the Academy" In August, 1949, E. V. Brown Patterson, a graduate student at Mississippi State College published a thesis in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Master of Science in the Department of History. The thesis was titled "FRENCH CAMP: A HISTORY OF THE ACADEMY". This thesis has been posted to the Attala County MSGenWeb web site in its entirety. Care has been taken to replicate the look and feel of the original thesis, so it appears page by page complete with source notes. To view the thesis, click on the following link; http://www.rootsweb.com/~msattala/frenchcampacademy-cover.html Some of you may think that this has no application to your research in Attala County as French Camp was located in Choctaw county but the Village of French Camp was closer to many small settlements in northeast Attala county than the most of the towns and villages in Attala county. Even if you fail to find anything material to your research, it is interesting reading which I think most of you will enjoy. Everette Carr County Coordinator Attala County - MSGenWeb
