Robert: On our Barnett line, we have Russell Ray, b. 1848; and Cassa Louise Barnett, b. 1853, d. 8-28-1925. They were married 4-9-1866 in Winston Co., MS. . They first lived in Winston Co. on property owned by her parents, Calvin and Amanda Barnett. They are listed on the Winston Co, Louisville, MS 1870 census. She is buried at Doty Springs cemetery in Attala Co. I do not know where he is buried--bu most likely at Doty Springs, also. The children I have listed for The Rays are: Olley Ann Ray -- b. 7-30-1869, d. 2-14-1957--buried at Doty Springs. C. Taylor Ray -- b. 1872, d. 12-19-1935--buried at Doty Springs. Sallie Ray -- b. 1871, d. 1952 Richard G. Ray -- B. 1874 Viola Ray -- b. 1877 Willa G. Ray -- b. 1880 Mollie Ray -- b. 1885, d. 10-11-1917, buried at Doty Springs. It appears that the entire family was buried at Doty Springs. In a few weeks, I plan to go to MS and I'm going to Doty Springs cemetery to have a "look-see". Also, Russell and Cassa had property in Leake Co. that her parents gave to her "for love and affection". This was the last property her parents owned before their deaths. I have the location of this property if you're interested. Note: Russell Ray was a member of the 4th MS Infantry Co. "K", CSA. Best wishes.
