    3. I checked the on line , rootsweb, cemeterys and did not find any Lovorns listed as buried in any of the cemeterys on their listed cemeterys. I sure I could have missed some and some cemeterys may not be on thhe list yet. I am trying to connect the Lovorns fron Attala County with the Lovorns from Winston County. I believe that the Lovorn/Lovern/Lovvorn etc are all related. So any information on Lovorns in the Attala County (and else where in Ms etc) area and their familys is very interesting to me. --- Pat Barnett Clayton <[email protected]> wrote: > Holly: Regarding your post on Feb. 4th: Look at the Leake County, > MS Roots > WebSand click on cemeteries. 3. You will find Lovorn in the Rocky Point Cemetery - they have it listed with the Leake County, MS Cemeteries, I think. Look in the Attala and Leake County, MS cemeteries. I think it is near Barnes or the Mary Dell Community. 3. Good news, Holley, The Rocky Point Cemetery, or at least a portion of it, has been posted to the Attala County MSGenWeb site this date. Due to the fact that this is a very large cemetery, when it was copied in 1958, only individuals born prior to 1875 were copied. I am not aware of any online listing that would include the entire cemetery. You and any other Attala County or Leake County researcher interested in the Rocky Point Cemetery can visit the listing by clicking on the following link: (AOL users will have to copy and paste). http://www.rootsweb.com/~msattala/rockypointcem.html Everette Carr County Coordinator Attala County - MSGenWeb ----- Original Message ----- From: "Holly Whitney" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 02, 2005 12:35 PM Subject: Re: [MSATTALA] first post to list I checked the on line , rootsweb, cemeterys and did not find any Lovorns listed as buried in any of the cemeterys on their listed cemeterys. 3. For any researchers for the Laney Family: The C.D. Laney [1838-1914] that is listed in Rocky Point is a brother to my g/grand mother [Elizabeth P. Laney McElroy Brewer],and is also my name sake or I am his name sake, what ever HA!!! A small error there in the listing as he is Oliver David Laney, Elizabeth named her son Oliver David Laney McElroy, Oliver D. named his son Oliver Hazzard McElroy, Oliver H. named me Oliver Denton McElroy and I named my oldest son Oliver Glenn McElroy. He stopped the Oliver there by saying that enough is enough. A very well kept cemetery. 3. Holly, I was searching the 1900 Hunt Co. TX list for my Hutchins family from MS and found a William Lovin age 48 from MS and a Thomas Lovin age 42 from MS. I don't have my Lovern information in front of me at the moment but maybe you recognize these two.
