Mrs. Peeler, a former longtime resident of the Oak Ridge Community, died Feb. 6, 2005 at the Attala County Nursing Center. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Eula Hopkins Brantley, her husband, James Pascal Peeler, an infant son J.P. Peeler Jr., and a daughter, Dean Pollard. She is survived by her son-in-law, Marvin Pollard of Kosciusko; a granddaughter, Regina Schubert of Kerrville, Texas; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Minister Dan Beardain officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Harry Pollard, Zebbie Dees Jr., Marvis Braswell, Paul D. Hopkins, Larry Stevens, Tom Burchfield and Tom Maury.
