I am looking for information on J.M. Dotson who married Betty Herald on 25 Sep.1888 in Attala County. I have the text of a newspaper account of the marriage. It took place at the home of W. N. Martha: My ancestors were William Riley Dodson and wife, Aurelia Kelly. We had relatives who spelled their name "Dotson", but mostly Dodson. They lived in the Plattsburg, Winston County, MS area; also, Attala and Leake Counties. Do not know if this information is helpful; if so, I can give you the complete ancestry dating back to the 1600s.
