    3. Has anyone ever heard of Mt Gunn Cemetery ? I have a death certificate of 1 of my relatives and this is what the name looks like. The undertaker were Matthew and Garland. This cemetery existed in 1930. It should be a black cemetery. ____________________________________________________ Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. 3. Len, I know little of the cemeteries in Attala, but I do know about people who lived on someone's land and sharecropped during those years. It was not uncommon at all for the owner of the land to reserve a small portion of land to bury those who died while in his employ. Do you think that your folks lived on Mr. Gunn's land and the death certificate actually reads "Mr. Gunn's Cemetery"? A few months ago someone was looking for a cemetery in my county and it showed on the death certificate "Johnson Pl." After much research and several telephone calls I found that there was indeed a large plantation called the Johnson Place, and there is a cemetery on that land which is still being used. Unfortunately, there was no marker for the individual they were looking for. I hope this gives you another idea. If you can find them in the 1930 Attala Census, I'd venture a guess that you will also find a Mr. Gunn. All this is speculation, but there might be something to my surmises.
