Pat, I believe your Barnett line is connected to my Maddox/Mattox line. Cassandra 'Cassa' Barnett married Aaron Mattox. His sister married a Barnett. Aaron was born in VA abt. 1795. I found a land patent in AL for Aaron Mattox with remarks, name: Calvin Barnett, issued Aug. 17, 1838. Aaron had children named William, Freeman, Calvin, Amanda, others, and my great grandfather, Seaborn F. Mattox. Aaron & Cassa Mattox were living in Tuskaloosa (Tuscaloosa) Co. AL in 1850. They migrated to Attala Co.MS via VA, GA, AL to MS. I am at a dead end on Aaron & Cassa Barnett as I unable to find the parents of either. Thanks, Lois Tyler Cockrell
