In 1858 James A Carlisle was made guardian of Andrew R. Johnson. In September 1858 John T. Gaston, James Hubbert and Robert M. Harris were appointed commissioners to divide the stock of the estate of Jane D. Johnson, deceased, assigning Andrew R. Johnson, one half of the stock. James A. Carlisle is my great-grandfather. Robert M. Harris is my great-great grandfather. Can anyone tell me more about Jane D. Johnson? I would like to know if there is more than a casual connection to my Carlisle/Harris lines. Janie
