Catherine. 'Way back in January, I told you I would send you info. on the 20th MS. However, on my last message to you, I said that I had a very seriously ill family member and I would get back to you a.s.a.p.-- Sadly, that was my beloved brother and he passed away the last part of Jan. and it's taken me this long to "try" and get back to un-finished business. Anyhow, did you find out how to get your CW ancestor's military records? I got mine through the MS archives in Jackson. Let me know if I can be of help. Also, can you give me more info. on Dallas O'Briant. Did he survive the War and where is he buried and does he have the proper CW memorial? God Bless. Do you have Coleman Watkins McELVANY? He was the son of Robert P. McELVANY and wife Nancy. Coleman Watkins McElvany is found first in Co. G. 20th Mississippi Infantry, ( The Barksdale Greys ) organized 25 May 1861. Coleman was taken prisoner and was in "Camp Douglas". Later enlisting in the 3rd Mississippi Cav. Reserves. Coleman W. McElvany would never recover from the war, and the treatment received at Camp Douglas. Both would haunt him the rest of his life. Coleman Watkins was a brother to my gggrandfather, John T. McELVANY. John T served in Co. G, 3 Mississippi Cav. Reserves. Vickye White Rt. 1 Box 96 3477 N. FM 1212 Stanton, TX 79782 Where is Bin Laden? Anyone remember him?
