Just some thoughts... LDS does have quite a bit microfilmed. What exactly does the MS Archives have? Would it be at all possible to purchase some of the microfilm from LDS for the library in Attala Co? Some folks just cannot get to an LDS facility. Then, the remaining that is not recorded on film, make an all out effort to find someone...preferably the MS Archives, to do so. If not, make an all out effort to transcribe it. The original records are official and will always be the property of the county. To remove them would most likely not be possible or "lawful". Dixie McMillen Starkville MS
