My grandmother was Minerva Ida White married James Kirkland Yates. Minerva's father was Felix G White, son of John G White.His father was Alfred White. They moved from Amite Co to Franklin Co. to La and then on to Texas. They are in the 1870 census in Louisana. They are in the 1880 census of Sabine Co. Texas and then settle in Shelby Co. Texas.
