He lived in the area his entire life and descended from a family that was fairly prominent in the area. He was married to Frances Eleanor Gayle and had two children, Joseph Gayle Anderson and Hettie Lee Anderson who were small children at the time of his death. His parents were Joseph Way Anderson and Margaret Ann Clarke. I am hoping for a paper copy of the obituary to solidify the relationship between Eugene and his parents for DAR purposes.
