If so please send their info too. Thank you so much. Gayle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I believe we are descendants through Adaline Rebecca whose daughter Myra Webb Magee married Winfield Scott, my great grandfather, we think. I haven't found anything that shows the two are actually sisters with Rebecca Rhodes as their mother. Also do you have Rebecca Rhodes, as being the daughter of Charles Rhodes from NC who fought in the Revolutionary War? If you have any info on that, that would be great. Thank you. He lived in the area his entire life and descended from a family that was fairly prominent in the area. He was married to Frances Eleanor Gayle and had two children, Joseph Gayle Anderson and Hettie Lee Anderson who were small children at the time of his death. His parents were Joseph Way Anderson and Margaret Ann Clarke. I am hoping for a paper copy of the obituary to solidify the relationship between Eugene and his parents for DAR purposes. I'm trying to find family history for Tammie Sue Parker. She is tghe other grandmother of my grandchildren that live with me. I don't know her fathers name but he was a brother of Cecil Parker who lived in Picayune, Ms. I think he was born @ 1936. Have been told that the old place was on Parker road thee. I'm guessing @ the 5 or 6oo block. I've been told told that there was a Rev. Charles Parker that was in there direct line. Are you able to send me any Parker family data. I will gladly share what little data that I have. A. B. Craig [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am very interested in the NEWMAN line of SC and MS, and would especially like to know more about SAMUEL NEWMAN (1817-1871) and his wife, LOUISA J. BALLARD (1826-1889), who were parents of my great-grandmother FRANCES EMMALINE NEWMAN (1861-1930). I did not yet know about JAMES SIMPSON EUGENE NEWMAN and his daughter WINNIE LEE NEWMAN, so you have very valuable information for me. The only children of Jasper that I have so far are: EULA NEWMAN (1899-1899 - lived only 3 months) and MAXTEL WASHINGTON NEWMAN (1904-1905 - lived only 5 months). If you'd like, give me your email address, and we can communicate further on this matter. Thanks very much in advance. And YES, I do have the parents of your earliest Newman so far, being THOMAS NEWMAN (CA. 1741-180) his wife, ELIZABETH GROSVENOR (1752-1817), their fourteen children, and his father, JOHN NEWMAN and wife, ELIZABETH. Mary Florence, I am the last living grandchild of William Hockett Day and Polly Faulkner Butler Day. On my father's side all from my Great grandparents back were born in Scotland so that is where my main searching is done. I am interested in the records you have taking Nancy back to Scotland and the MacGregor name. Where were they from etc.Was there a reason that the name change occurred? (Unlike others, I am always hunting a good skeleton in my closet). I have GGgrandmother Nancy's husband as Jeptha Van Day. Is the Van correct? I do not show parents for either. My Great grandparents were their son Samuel B. Day, Sr. (what is the B for?) and Demarius Day. Her parents were Jonathan Day and Elizabeth Eliza Ann Day. (no parents either) My grandfather, son of Samuel & Demarius, was William Hockett Day and my grandmother Polly Faulkner Butler Day. Their oldest child was Demaris Day Gardner (wf of Rev. Elisha Gardner) who had three children before my mother, Mamie Day, the ninth and last child, was born. After Billy and Polly Day passed away in 1912 and 1913 she lived with her sister Maud Bertram Day Gray (husb. Rev J.Early Gray) until she was 39 and married my dad, John McArthur, from Moss Point, Jackson Co., MS and therefore I never had a chance to meet those grandparents. I never met all of my first cousins because of the age difference and different areas of residence. I was born when my mother was 40 years and 6 days old & was considered a "miracle baby" at that time. My husband's mother was 43 when she had her tenth child, my husband was 19 at the time. I would love to hear from any of my kinfolks especially about information on any of those people and others. This is the first I have seen of where the older generations actually came from---lots of info in US but I want to know where (I assume in Ireland) they came from across the Atlantic----where they lived, where left from, when, and what ship, and where they entered the USA. I have several generations back on several families on my father's side. Mary Day McArthur Lander, Moss Point. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 18, 2012 2:00 AM Subject: MSAMITE Digest, Vol 7, Issue 59 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
