No relation. Jeannie Roberson Barnett went to be with the Lord September 1, 2010. She was born August 21, 1956 in Wesson, Mississippi (Copiah County) to Ollie Smith and Lester Glasper. She moved to Ohio in 1959. Jeannie was a faithful and active member of United Baptist Church and attended Akron, Ohio Public Schools. Jeannie was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Moore; father, James Brunson and brother, Larry Smith, all of Akron, Ohio. She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Jerrick Barnett; son, James D. (Ras) Roberson; step-children, Jerrick and Veniece Barnett; mother, Ollie Brunson; father, Lester Glasper; brother James K. (Debra) Roberson; sisters, Debra Smith, Gwendolyn Smith, Teresa (Aaron) Phinnessee, Tia Murray and Lorinda Irby, all of Akron, Ohio. Services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 12 p.m. at United Baptist Church, 1007 S. Hawkins Ave., Akron, OH 44320, Pastor Kevin Rushing, officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 365 Tammery Drive, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
