I am trying to find out more about the SMILEY family of Amite County MS. I believe Richard Smiley was a wealthy plantation owner with about 50 slaves. I am trying to find a link between him and Lorena Smiley, an African American born in Montrose, MS in 1908. Her father's name was Willy Ardell Smiley Jr. and thats about all the information I have. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated!
