Carolina, suffered the emotional pain of watching their children being split apart in 1859. Sadly, they all never saw each other again, even though most of them were taken to various parts of Mississippi. Research led to the locations of where the children ended up, and their living descendants were also located. Last year, over 250 descendants reunited for the first time in Atlanta on the 150th year anniversary of when the involuntary family separation occurred. The family also sojourned back to Abbeville, South Carolina -- the last place where the family was together on Rev. William H. Barr's small plantation. Check out a short documentary about the reunion and history at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnN9aJQsT-8 Thanks, Mel Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
