My grandmother's name was Emma Woodard and she was from Water Valley. She married a Will Miles also from Water Valley. He was a coffin maker. They moved to Memphis and are shown as living on Minegar Ave. in the 1900 census. Then Emma moved from Memphis to Chicago. She died in 1923. She had three daughters, Velma Knight, Ozella Mae Coleman, and Clydie Mae Miles (my mother). I am looking for any relatives in Chicago, and am hoping that the person you know in Chicago may be able to help me pick up on this branch of my family tree. I also know that the family lived at 223 N. Ada in Chicago and there was a Mattie Woodard living there during the 1910 or 1920 census, I forget which one exactly.
