Thankyou for your valuble info. But I must explain My maternal grandmothers family came off a plantation call "The Thatcher Farm" That was the slave families name..I thought that might ring a bell in the history of that slave owner. The name Jordan or Jerden was a white man that my great,great, grandmother took up with or married I'm not sure. But she took his name. Some of her chilchren she named Lewis and my great grandmothers last name was Kinard which no one knows why she then later married a Trussell and bore my maternal grandmother. so some of the names are from White decendants.
