Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Minister Luvenia L. Love, 73, who departed this life, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Minister Love was born Dec. 24, 1938, in McCall Creek, Miss., a daughter of Eugene and Harriet Porter Keys, and moved to Youngstown in 1956 and then to Chicago in 1965. She worked at the Radisson Hotel in Lincolnwood, Ill., as head laundress for 22 years, retiring in September of 2000. Upon retiring, she returned to Youngstown to be with her daughter and family. A woman of God, Luvenia received her ministerial license from St. Peter's Pentecostal Church of God In Christ in Chicago. When Luvenia relocated to Youngstown, she attended the Family Worship Center, where she served on the Mother's Board, and she also attended the Omni Present Church. Her current membership was with the Original St. Clair Baptist Church in Chicago. Luvenia enjoyed reading, catalog shopping, cooking and being with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Larry Keys of Singapore, Harriet Love of Youngstown and Eugene White of Chicago; a sister, Carolyn Keys of Chicago; two brothers, James and Eugene Keys, both of Texas; seven grandchildren, Latrease, Joseph, Preston, Prescott, Pierson, Justin and Jessica; five great-grandchildren, Zaria, Laniya, LaReiyah, Amir and Ronald; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Milton and Frank; three sisters, Christine Thigpen, Betty Williams and Annie Mae Morgan; and two brothers, Charles and Jewel Keys.
