    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Angelety, Hamilton, Hargraves Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lIB.2ACE/598.6 Message Board Post: Dear David: I have an interesting story for you. 5-6 years ago I visited Vicksburg, (battlefield) and there was a database that you could access to find your ancestors that served in the Civil War. I gave the woman who was doing the search "Angeletti" my mother's maiden name. She came up with Angelety, and the color drained out of her face. (no pun intended) She said Oh no, that can't be right, he was in the "colored" infantry--engineering corps to be exact--bridge building. This all made perfect sense to me, since my great-grandfather, Emile Angelety was a brick layer, and taught his sons, my grandfather and his brothers the trade. Old man Emile suposedly counted the bricks for the old Eola hotel in Natchez. Maybe it was his father that served? I have tried to find this ancestor again, but to no avail. I would love to find the whole Angelety clan, most of whom would be in La. -Laurie Livingston-
