Daniel Walter Williams was also my great great grandfather. In fact, I have just completed a pedigree chart of the Williams line (using information from the 1870 - 1930 census), which I sent to family in MS (Ella Delores and Celia Carr) a couple of weeks ago. I learned last week that a reunion is being planned for July of next year. Please write me off line. Barbara

He believes all were born in Ms. This is as much as I can put together....... His name is Luther Taylor, bn 1911 in Dinon, Walthall Cty., Ms. I found Luther on the 1920 (at age 8) and 1930 census living with his widowed mother Laura and several other children in Walthall Cty.. Luther said his father is John Taylor (died 1919) and his father's mother is Patsy Galloway of Hattiesburg. Ms. I did find Patsy on the 1930 census of Hattiesburg, and it looks like Galloway may be from a 2nd marriage. Luther doesn't remember John's fathers name. Luther's mother was Laura Butler, bn ca 1885, and Laura's mother was named Mandy. It is thought Mandy (Amanda) may be part NativeAmerican. I did find a Mandy married in 1880 in Steens Creek, Rankin Cty., at age 18 to a George E. Butler age 21. Next door was a Jane Butler who seemed to be George's mother. Are these Laura's parents/grandmother?? Any help in filling the gaps much appreciated. Sally New Orleans

People on the list would possibly be able to help you more if you provided the birth and death dates for Elvin and where each occurred. The same for Aurie if you know them. Also tell the list where they lived, if you know that. You could start by checking the 1920 and the 1930 censuses for the counties in which they lived. You could also request the death certificates from the state, that would give you a little more info. The more info you provide in your e-mail the more people will be able to help you.
