I want everyone out here to listen and read - please! I was just informed that "http://www.genealogy.com/" is selling all of our personal information on their site for profit. I found my late husband's children on there; for sale on 4 different disks! These kids are still alive and I know they got this information from my old gedcom's or website because his family - the KRABAL'S are few and in between. They've got me! My brothers, nephews.... all for sale! DO NOT GO TO THEIR SITE! They want you to post your "queries" DON'T!!!! I heard they were doing this but just never paid it any attention, till now. Please, I'm begging all of you, do not go there less you want to see if "you" are there. If you are, write them as I did. I threatened to sue them. But, I hear I'm no alone on that and they do whatever they please. Chrystie, I have long been afraid of this kind of abuse. That is why I have never sent a Gedcom of my stuff anywhere! Of course cousins to whom I have furnished info could send it in. I have asked them not to do that, but don't know if they might have passed it on to another cousin who sends it wherever. I know that the Familytree maker CDs use people's info and then distort it to make it more difficult by taking out real dates and using dates with such a wide spred of years they are worthless. I will never stop being angry about finding that out from another cousin. I am sorry you have been burned like that. I know many people have been.
