Linda and all, We have to be very careful out here regarding the "gedcom" file issues. I too, not knowing any better, hurrily placed my gedcom's out here assuming it would help me (at the very least) connect with other's on my line. It did and for that I'm eternally thankful but... and I stress but.. I've had everyone of my gedcom's taken off especially that Dave Wilkes site; I've been asking him for 2 yrs to please, take my gedcom off of your site - it's riddled with errors and he always writes back and says yes I'll take it off, but it's still out there today. Sadly, FamilyTree Maker and Genealogy.com are selling our family files on Cd's. Sad... because they have errors in them and other's, not knowing any better will buy these and the lienage will be wrong across the board for who knows how many more generations. What can you do Linda? Next to threatening them. Obviously, these companies know that "genealogy" is big business out here; we're out here trying to help one another "freely" and someone is always skeeming to make money on us. I learned the hardway.
