Chrystie, I just wanted to let you know my Mother died Monday night after too much suffering. She is with her loved ones in heaven now. Please get help with your work and your move so you don't hurt yourself. We love you and don't want to lose you. Let us know when you are in your new place. Let the list can take care of itself for a little while. (not a long while!), and keep in touch when you can. It took me almost 2 years to learn and I learned alot, the hard way. I learned that so called "buddies" half of the time never show up when you need something fixed. If they do showup, they do abt 1/3 of the job, expecting money immediately, and rarely do they come back leaving jobs half done while you go behind them to fix it correctly. I've learned that all they care about is getting money and getting jobs done as quickly as possible, leaving you in the wind. I've learned that I can actually hold a paint brush in my hand and do it myself, better, quicker and cheaper. I've learned that if you want a job done and done right, you can do it yourself. Never put off til tomorrow, what you can do today. Where there's a will, there is a way. Trust your family and true friends and somehow you'll make it through and always go with that wonderful "gut" feelings that god gave us. You know, the one "animals" use instintively. And Linda, I've learned the most important lessonn of all. Don't carry anything "heavy" when you have a fractured hand ;) LOL OUCH! I hired professional movers; insured my "stuff". In the long run, had I hired buddies and a Uhaul I would have ended up paying almost the same amount and at least the pro's will showup;) Thanks Linda, and .... wish me luck. At first it was kinda sad looking around this old place, seeing the shed george built; the patio he stuggled alone to build; the privacy fence that seemed to take forever 'cause he would take things down and put them back up if they weren't done exactly the way he felt they should be. But most of all, I've learned that I was very very fortunate to have him while I did. I'll judge the next man (if there is one - secretly) comparing him to George. And he better "measure" up. Hey, I can do that to now! -- Chrystie MYERS - ROOTSWEB.COM List Administrator - [email protected] BROOKOVER, COWGER, KRABAL, MOYERS, MYRES, SWECKER
