But he is not the Valentine we were placing him as. OUR family had this in bible but I have not seen the writing. It said Philip Moyer family from Switzerland area near border. ( Did not say when or whom)IT also said : Valentine MOYER wife Betsey . We thought because Valentine was JOhn's father that Valentine was his son. The truth is Valentine MOYER m a Betsey but he was Philips father and Philip had a son Valentine who was our JOHN MYERS b 1809 near Dauphin Co PA son. For 50 years of research this family has been mired in trying to find why Valentine whom died 1823 was listed with wife Catherine JONES. It did not fit the family stories or bible data. But when I found Phillips parents there was Valentine whom was ma to a BETSEY , her middle name was Elizabeth and I am sure that is what the situation was. Slowly other pieces fell into place cementing this in my mind as what is the true lineage of the line. It also then picks up names in family we could not place as they were Uncles, Aunts, and Great Uncle and Great Aunt families. I sure hope with the data requested that this finally resolves an issue that has drove family frustrated for over 50 years. It helps to talk out thoughts and it brings in more thoughts to play. Susi

Susie, So you're saying that Philip was the son of Valentine MOYER and had a son (as well) named Valentine? 1st Valentine MOYER was married to a Betsy Grandson Valentine was married to Catherine JONES and it was this couple that had a son named John MOYER born 1809 near Dauphin CO., PA? What else do you know about this John MOYER of PA? Children? Did they migrate out? What part within Dauphin County, Suzie? Just curious...
