I do know that a particular line of MOYERS were slave owners but this was in Jefferson and Greene County Tennessee dating from late 1700's to 1840. Your posting went out on the MOYERS newsgroup and I sincerely wish you luck here. Are you familiary with the Slave records now available fairly cheaply at the Nat'l Archives now? I hear it's very extensive and alot of work as went into preservation.
