MAP SEARCHING TIP I recently used the new Scandinavian database at our local family history library and was very pleased to find a Danish ancestor. With the records, I was able to determine where he was from. Then I went searching for a map of the location. I did not have much success with the online maps I found. Then I realized I should be searching for a parish, not necessarily the town. I went online and typed in a search for Danish parish map and was very pleased to find the maps I needed. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Flats/9991/index.html In doing so I was able to see that my ancestors were from three connecting parishes. From there I was able to look at a standard map and locate the town closest to the three parishes.
